About the Library
Supporting medical learning since 2021
Established in 2021, the Central Library at Shree Narayan Medical Institute & Hospital, Saharsa supports teaching, learning, research and professional development in medical and allied sciences. The library serves students, faculty members, research scholars and staff through print collections, electronic resources, reading spaces and information services. Its journal collection includes 57 Indian and 18 foreign publications.
Our purpose is to provide timely, reliable information that supports the academic and research needs of the SNMIH community.

Digital Resources
Access academic resources and library catalogues
E-books, e-journals and academic databases are available through authenticated access within the Central Library during working hours. DELNET supports resource discovery, reference assistance and interlibrary sharing. Library operations are computerised through DELPLUS, while OPAC/Web OPAC catalogue services help readers find materials in the collection.

Spaces & Facilities
Dedicated spaces for reading and research
The Central Library brings together reading areas, print collections and computer facilities in approximately 4,000 square metres of space. Seating for around 500 users supports study across the SNMIH community.
Readers have access to dedicated computer terminals and internet connectivity for digital learning and academic research. The library premises are monitored by 15 CCTV cameras.
